Donation of Sports football and volleyball Kits
At Kinguutheni Primary and Junior School, the field came alive with energy, laughter, and determination as four schools competed in a thrilling Under-15 tournament celebrating not just sport, but opportunity, unity, and hope.
As part of REREC’s CSR initiative under the Sports Pillar, the Corporation donated full sports kits for boys football team and girls volleyball team, balls – (volleyball and football) training bibs, cones, volleyball nets and football goal nets ensuring every child had the chance to play with pride. This initiative is a commitment to nurturing talent, promoting wellness, and giving rural youth the platform to grow both on and off the field.
The event was led by REREC’s General Manager IEC, Ms. Beatrice Njuguna, and Manager Alternative Energy, Eng. Jonathan Mbutu, alongside local leaders and partners who share in the vision of empowering communities. In attendance were County Speaker Hon. Douglas Mbilu, CEO Energy, Madam Naomi Nthambi, Nancy Ndeto,CSO Education, affirming the power of partnership in shaping brighter futures.
This wasn’t just a tournament it was a celebration of potential. A reminder that lighting up lives means more than electrification it means inspiring dreams, building confidence, and uniting communities through shared purpose.
