H.E. President William Ruto also flagged off materials for the implementation of two Last Mile Connectivity projects in Kiminini Constituency – Imani Primary/Secondary School and Namanda Farm, set to connect 352 households to the national grid. During the event, REREC CEO Dr. Rose Mkalama briefed the President on electrification projects being implemented in the area. The two projects form part of seven REREC projects targeting 852 households across Kiminini. The President was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum, Hon. James Opiyo Wandayi; Cabinet Secretary for Interior and National Administration, Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen; Principal Secretary for Energy, Mr. Alex Wachira; and former West Pokot Governor, Hon. Prof. John Lonyangapuo. REREC’s GM, IEC Directorate, Beatrice Njuguna, and other REREC officials also joined the briefing. Through these projects, REREC continues to expand electricity access and bring new opportunities closer to communities.
